Alyne is Alive

It’s been an intensive couple of months filled with lots of hard work, tough discussions, a ridiculous number of Slack messages around the clock and a substantial amount of drinks trying to reach the Ballmer Peak. With the publishing of this article, Alyne is now officially live and ready for business. The developed platform represents not only our current product, but also a foundation for a pipeline full of exciting features and functionality planned for the next months and years.

This is a huge milestone for Alyne and I think it merits sharing some of the things I am incredibly proud of on this occasion:

  • The amazing skills combined in the team
    When we set out on this journey, I knew of the potential of my founding partners as we had all worked together before, but not of the true extent of the skills they have brought to the table during our development phase. Should Alyne turn out to be a big success, it will be thanks to the unique combination of common and complementary skills assembled here.
    We have also added tremendous talent to the team along the way, and I would like to especially thank Sri Hari Raju Penmatsa and Bhushan Chaudhari for their hard work and significant contributions to the development of the Alyne product.
    In addition, our network of partners have reliably delivered key elements of our product. I would like to thank Francisco Tacon for his development of our shiny new brand and UX and edgycircle.com for their support in the front end.  

  • Our value proposition for our customers
    One of our goals in building our product, was to create a solution that is cost effectively scalable for large organisations, with a low enough entry price to provide smaller organisations access to Cyber Security, Risk Management and Compliance capabilities they previously couldn’t afford. I’m convinced that we have developed a very compelling offer with our pricing model and Alyne’s capabilities.

  • Alyne’s Control Statement and Risk Libraries
    At the core of Alyne, the Control Statement and Risk Libraries - along with all additional contextual information - consolidate our knowledge from more than four decades of experience in industry and consulting. By word count, the libraries are longer than the longest Harry Potter book (The Order of the Phoenix). Maybe this means we will be able to skip the “I want to write my novel” - midlife crisis and move straight to the sports car.

  • Our cool new brand
    With the launch of our product, we have also updated our brand and logo. The new logo combines our two primary colors of fresh green and petrol in two interlinked ribbons. I believe it beautifully represents the balance between two opposed dynamics in a fluid, yet mutually dependent constellation - very similar to a business and the rules that govern it. Many thanks to Francisco for his creativity on this.

  • Self funded lean development
    Thanks to hard work, some amazing new technology and very frugal operations, we were able to fully self-fund our development and develop our product to market maturity in only 8 months, all within our planned budget.
