1. New Risk Mitigation Interface
Risk Mitigations have always been a key focus area of Alyne's Risk Management capabilities, and so this month, we have made significant improvements in this space. Users are now able to determine an overall risk treatment strategy for the risk and define mitigation plan(s) to a single risk. Individual Task(s) can then be created under each plan and assigned to the relevant responsible personnel.
Under the Mitigation(s) tab, defined Mitigation plans can be found and managed directly. Going forward, Users will be able to filter Mitigation plans by sorting via “Owner”, “Due Date”, “Last Updated” date and other fields that are captured, pertaining to the Mitigation plan.
2. Scheduled Assessments
Away from work for the upcoming week, but still need to manage your periodic Assessments? With our new Assessment Scheduling capability, Assessment Managers are now able to pre-configure upcoming Assessments and schedule them ahead of time.
What happens if there is change in schedule? No problem! You can also easily cancel the existing schedule and set up a new one based on the revised timings.
3. Continuous Controls Improvements
Establishing Control-Object relationships has certainly been made easier since the introduction of Alyne's new Continuous Controls functionality. As per all things, the effort put into maintenance is often the key to ensuring success and continuity. We have simplified the edit and maintenace process by introducing the “Bulk-Edit” function. App Users are now able to select all relevant Controls using the check-box, and make changes to as many Continuous Controls as required, all in one go!
Along with this, as you drill-down into each individual Control within your Continuous Controls, we have also introduced “History.” The new History tab keeps track of all changes and ensures that any modifications made to a Continuous Control are logged in detail. Accountability breeds responsibility.
4. Document Mappings - NLP Suggested Controls
In our update last month, we introduced Document Mappings – a powerful feature that allows you to map your policies and documents to specific Library/Custom Controls.
This month, we boosted this feature with further Natural Language Processing (NLP) capability. Our amazing backend AI engine is able to suggest relevant Controls to facilitate a smoother and more agile mapping process, on top of any manual mapping you might choose to do.
5. Final Call: Deprecation of Internet Explorer Support
Following Microsoft’s lifecycle policy on IE 11, we are deprecating support for our application running in Internet Explorer at the end of June. This would allow us to consolidate our efforts and resources to better serve you. Going forward, we would recommend using Chrome, Microsoft Edge and/or Firefox when accessing Alyne.
