1. Assessment Composition
Looking for efficiency in your Assessment creation process? This past month we have introduced Assessment Composition, a feature that allows you to dynamically configure Assessments that evaluate multiple Objects at the same time. The Assessments’ Objects will synchronously consider the affected Controls and organise Assessments accordingly into an Assessment Container. The major advantage of this, from a user's perspective, is that Objects can determine which Controls are applicable and should be taken into account for evaluation. Whenever two Objects are facing the same set of applicable Controls for evaluation, they will both form part of the same Assessment.
Having the ability to include the entire composition within an Assessment Container makes for easy inspection and consumption of results later on.
This feature is an intelligent way of building up multiple Assessments with just a few clicks, providing you wiith greater time-to-value and efficiency in your Assessments.
2. Custom Object Type Editor
With the new Custom Object Type Editor, we have given even more configuration freedom and flexibility into our Customers’ hands. This feature allows Admin users to be able to create, update and even delete Object Types on-the-go, as and when needed within the organisation!
This will be the first iteration of this feature and more enhancements will be on the way over the next few months, containing custom attributes and further improvements. Customers looking to enable this optional feature, simply reach out to your Customer Success representative.
3. Create Risks Based on Deviations on Continuous Controls
Continuous Controls, a core Alyne feature released in 2021, has seen many improvements throughout the past year. This month, we have just added another powerful enhancement to positively impact your workflows.
Whenever you are facing deviations on Continuous Control records, e.g. a difference between assessed vs. expected maturity values, you can now open up Risks directly within the Continuous Controls environment.
Essentially, this now includes three powerful options for you to execute:
- You can always create a new Risk from scratch.
- Create from an existing Library Risk. Alyne will provide recommendations in the form of intelligent suggestions for Risks that most closely match with the corresponding deviation, based on the Object and Control combination.
- If your Risk Library is already quite mature, Alyne provides the ability to link existing managed risks to a Continuous Control record.
For your convenience, we have also incorporated linked Risks as entities directly into your Continuous Controls detail page. This means that all of the Risks that you have linked to a specific record are available, right at your fingertips.
4. Productboard Portal Integration
The feedback and insight we receive from our Customers is a core influencer in our product improvement process. In order to keep these valuable conversations flowing both easily and continuously, we have recently introduced an integration between Alyne and Productboard to form a built-in Product Portal in Alyne. This provides users with an additional avenue to directly request new functionality and provide their feedback on the platform. Do not hold back and keep those valuable insights coming!
